< < Prev Next >> The activation process actually creates two databases for you. One is for your Live System, and the other is for your Test System. The Test System is a safe place for you to learn and experiment with Epos Freedom, and it also includes test product data so that you can easily try out the POS. (At Epos Freedom sysco guest supply we use the term POS (Point of Sale) to refer to a till or cash register).
For both the Live System and Test System, there are 2 components that make up your EposFreedom system. Each of these is accessed from a web browser and has its own separate sysco guest supply URL (web addresses): Component URLs 1 POS The till or cash register software Live: http://pos.eposfreedom.com Test: http://test.pos.eposfreedom.com sysco guest supply 2 – RMS The Retail Management System – this is your back office system where you maintain your data, run reports, etc Live: http://rms.eposfreedom.com Test: http://test.rms.eposfreedom.com
You will notice that when you load the applications these URLs change to display a version number within it. Bookmarking these URLs is not recommended sysco guest supply because the URLs are subject to change when your software is upgraded. We stress therefore that it is important to bookmark the URL s exactly as they appear above. Your Retailer ID Key (RIK)
When loading any of the above URLs for the first time you will need your Retailer sysco guest supply ID Key to hand. This is a special code that is unique to you and identifies your business when you log on to any of the EposFreedom systems. Once you enter the code on loading one of the systems on one of your computers, the code will then be remembered on that computer for subsequent logins.
The Retailer ID Key (RIK) is contained in your welcome email that is sent when you first register your system. Please keep this code in a safe place at each trading location in case you need it in the future.
