In order to increase their collective strength is Cisco, EMC and VMware together for a 'joint venture', Acadia, to position itself as the leading prospect park redlands supplier of cloud technology. They offer the Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) based on "infrastructure packages" of hardware and software called Vblock'er. The idea is that companies can easily build their own cloud (Private Clouds). Vblock Vblock finished product adapted, tested and validated units of IT infrastructure that has a defined performance, capacity and availability SLA. One example of Vblock infrastructure will provide Cisco Unified Computing servers and MDS switches (in the two cabinets on the left) and EMC Symmetrix VMax hardware (right).
